E D This week I want to lift up to you someone in the history of the Christian church who lived out a vision.

During the 16th Century Saint Theresa was given a vision by God. This was during a time of tension and turmoil from books that were banned by her government. Jesus came to Saint Theresa in a vision and said to her, “Fear not, for I shall be with you like an open book.”

God gives us all a vision in His way, and as a church, it is a joy to watch God’s vision for you come to fruition. Our Lord’s Acre, Fun Run, VBS, Senior Ministries, Trunk-or-Treat, Glen Lake Camp, McCurdy School, Youth Program, Children’s Wednesday night camp, future Single Adult Ministries and all of the great missions of our church are all part of God’s vision for us at OUMC.

It is a joy as your pastor to watch you go out and build God’s kingdom through Matthew 28.

Yes, your pastor believes in the vision God gives us.

In Christ’s Love,

Pastor Joel (Proud Pastor of the most prolific, dynamic church in all of God’s Kingdom, Ovilla United Methodist Church)
