How to Use The Scoring Table

This table was created to help ASC judges calculate individual bird’s scores quickly. Many ASC judges use such a table; this expands on those we’ve seen. This may be printed out from the website and used for judging.

Pages 1 through 5 assist in calculating an individual bird’s score.

Pages 6 through ___ assist in placing potential show winners in order. Those pages assume clustering around scores depending upon a judge’s typical rendition score. If used while judging individual birds, it will help avoid ties.

Assumptions

1. All birds fulfill the Freedom requirement and are awarded 10 points 2. All birds score 19 Conformation and 9 on Condition

Adjustments if Assumptions Are Not Met

Should a bird’s score differ from the Freedom, Condition or Conformation assumptions, it’s easy to adjust the total score accordingly.

How to Use The BIS Placement Table

As you determine scores in classes, record the cage numbers of at least the top three birds in the place corresponding to the scores. Doing this will alert you to potential ties with birds from previously judged classes.
