II. Seismic Refraction Importance of seismic exploration; Principles of application; The seismic refraction technique; Travel-Time equations for seismic refractions from subsurface horizontal layers of constant velocities, Dipping and faulted layers; Linear increase of velocity with depth; Mathematical treatments and field applications.

III. Seismic Reflection Reflection Vs. Refraction; Main Principles; Field techniques; Travel-Time equations of subsurface reflections; Enhancement of seismic reflection data; Processing techniques; Geological and geophysical interpretation of seismic reflection data; Applications.

IV. Electrical & Electromagnetic Methods Classification; Electrical properties of rocks; The electrical resistivity method and its importance in geo-exploration; Field techniques; Vertical electrical sounding & Horizontal trenching; Quantitative interpreatation of resistivity data; Field & Lab applications.

V. Gravity & Magnetic Methods Potential field methods and their importance in exploration; The geomagnetic & geo-gravitational fields and their variations; Field techniques; Reduction of gravity & magnetic data; Qualitative & Quantitative interpretation of gravity and magnetic data; Field applications.
