Earth Day Events Thursday, April 22nd marks the 40th Earth Day. Our biggest plan to celebrate the event is an Upper School viewing of "Food, Inc." at the Kentucky Theater. On Monday, April 19th, we will run a Wednesday schedule campus-wide to accommodate this viewing and a viewing of the film, "What's on Your Plate?" by 4th through 8th grades at the State Theater. Morning classes that day will be slightly shortened. Please note that Wednesday we will run a Monday schedule. "Food, Inc." focuses on the importance of local, sustainable food. The film is a powerful one and a preview will be offered to parents of Upper School students this Thursday from 8:30-10am and from 7-8:30 pm. If you would like more information about the film, please visit: http://www.foodincmovie.com/index.php. If your schedule allows, students may appreciate being given time to discuss it in F period that day. If time is short, consider giving out note-cards for students to write down questions they may have. The science dept. will try to answer the questions in Morning Meetings or via the bulletin that week. The importance of local, sustainable food will be reinforced throughout the week. Below are a list of planned activities at all divisions.
