INSC 20263 – GOOD AND BAD WEB SITE DESIGN

NAME:______

The beauty of the Web is that, with a little effort, anyone can harness its power to create web sites. That certainly is not to say that everyone can or has done it well. There is a difference between knowing the technical elements of web development and creating attractive and functional web pages.

Web Sites should be designed around the needs of their audience and a clear list of its purposes (provide information, sell product, increase brand recognition etc.) should be discernible to the individuals who visit the sites. Additionally, the site should be attractive, easy to use, and contain NO errors, or ‘broken links’.

Identify two web sites that you believe are ‘good’ and two web sites that are ‘bad’, and be prepared to explain your selections to the class.
