Meeting opening Address by Chamber President – Michael Broekman Executive administrator appointed – Katie Johnson Items discussed Agquip promotion – 6 Business’s from Gunnedah on brochure, cost $66.00 per business, receive 20% off for shopping locally during Agquip only What’s on guide – any inclusions, ideas to be given to Charlotte Vibrant Town Precinct – Lauren Mackley – this has now been finalized, excellent response, media release due this week, Lauren to bring picture slides to next months meeting Town gift cards – possibility of having the organizer Chris Friend attend next meeting to discuss and demonstrate A new town notice board, how to get the word out for promotions such as town gift cards, not enough exposure
Proposed Projects Tracey Finlay offered to head the Christmas Fare group Ideas for the Christmas Fare discussed – possibly moving event to a Friday night, getting more business involvement to fill the gaps, the possibility of having vendors from other towns bring stands, work on the country Christmas aspect, hay bales in the main street, have a main stage where all events are hosted and winners announced such as the pet parade, santa street, miranda kerr/ Erica packer lookalike contest etc. Decking the main street out in lights and making it a major attraction, having business’s such as real estates host charity games, local sporting groups having rivalry tug-o-war, billy boiling Christmas fare proposed for December 14, 2017

Proposed Events The use of a universal eco bag such as the ones used in Yamba, costings to come Treat main street cbd like a shopping centre, find off street parking and encourage people to walk down the main street, possibility of having an app to collect data from people who attend the main street, do you have something to say signs – gaining feedback Trolleys becoming an issue, contact the contractor for the trolleys Future Project Ideas Cotton growers eligible for funding
