We are currently searching for a Customer Insight Manager to work with our Marketing Communications team in Walnut Creek, CA.

Description of Job: The customer insight manager will be responsible for working with sales, marketing, financial and customers in the development, execution, fulfillment, oversight and measurement of customer centric price and programs for all Valent brands. To achieve this goal the individual will lead a cross functional team and utilize market research, customer visits, SAM account reports and market insight to outline, guide and assimilate the various concepts and insight into a single plan that supports customer direction and achieves Valent’s segment and corporate goals. Throughout the process the Customer Insight Manager will collaborate with the marketing, finance, stakeholders and planning team in determining, inputting, estimating, and coordinating the input of price and program accruals (actual and LBE). This individual will work with finance and marketing in development of Domestic based Policy Exceptions, however, Policy Exceptions will continue to be managed by finance. This individual will oversee the development and execution of cross brand and regional programs and be an advisor on asset allocation and program effectiveness across the channel. After the initial introductory period the individual will take on cross functional project management that impacts the customer.

Key activities conducted by the Customer Insight Manager include:

 Evaluates and reviews impact of the sales function and reports findings for major marketing, distribution, and manufacturing proposals.  Participates in the central development and implementation of new products, re-launches, new business building programs, proposed sales materials, fact books, samples, trade incentives, sales rationale, etc.  Provides and/or initiates sales analysis affecting distribution, spending as it relates to volume, brand promotional strategy, and selling tools.  Provides and/or initiates sales analysis affecting distribution, spending as it relates to volume, brand promotional strategy, and selling tools.  Meet with customers, centers of influence and sales to ensure a relevant understanding of the market and Valent market place position.  Provide market guidance on customers, competition, marketing programs to Valent organization to ensure an integrated annual and long term business plan. Experience: 15+ years of related experience. Sales and or Broad Brand management experience Education: BA in agricultural related science or equivalent. MBA or equivalent preferred.
