11.3 Hydropower Market, Japan, Forecast Methodology and Assumptions 11.3.1 Historic Sources  The large hydro installed capacity and generation data for the historic period 2000-2010 has been derived by subtracting Small Hydro (On-grid & Off-grid) & Pumped Storage from total hydro power numbers

 The Installed Capacity for the year 2013 has been culled from the NEF, Japan  The power generation data for the year 2013 has been calculated by estimating the Capacity utilization Factor (CUF)%

Hydro power  The forecasting of large hydro power capacity has been done by considering the following points:  Projects that are currently under construction are expected to come online in 2014, 2016 and 2018.  The Generation numbers have been forecasted by estimating the CUF (%) for large hydro power plants to reach 44% by 2025 from 42% in 2013.
