Responsive Reading from Psalm 96

Leader: O sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth! People: Sing to the Lord and bless His name! Tell of His salvation from one day to the next. Leader: Declare His glory among the nations. Proclaim His wonderful works to all peoples. People: Great is the Lord, and He deserves the greatest praise! Above all gods, our God is to be revered. Leader: The other gods are simply replicas because our God made the heavens. People: Honor and majesty are before Him. Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Leader: Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, all you families of faith. People: Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Bring an offering, and come into His courts. Leader: Worship the Lord in holy splendor. Tremble before Him, all the earth. Say this among the people: People: The Lord is King! The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved. He will judge all people with equity. Leader: Let the heavens be glad. Let the earth rejoice. People: Let the sea roar; let everything in the sea make noise together. Leader: Let the fields and everything in the fields sound His praise. People: All the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the Lord. Leader: Get ready, because He is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. People: According to the truth, He will rightly judge the world. Leader: This is the Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God!
