Benefits of Becoming a Swans Friendly Club Will Include

Swans Friendly Clubs

In season 2013, the Sydney Swans are looking to build on the successes of the Swans Friendly Clubs program as we look to strengthen the bonds with local footy Clubs from our talent zone of NSW. Clubs who sign up to the program will be forging a personal bond with the Sydney Swans as they will open up a direct line of communication between the two football Clubs.

Registering for the program is free and simple – complete our three question registration form online, after which we will send out your first communication from the Swans which will include all the information you need to continue your Club’s association with the Sydney Swans.

Benefits of becoming a Swans Friendly Club will include:

Regular communications from the Sydney Swans

 Get all the latest Club relevant news straight from the Club in regards to player updates, community visits and Club and school programs.

Access to our Swans Friendly Clubs Ticketing Program

 All registered Swans Friendly Clubs will have access to a special ticketing discount to attend Sydney Swans home matches. The specially discounted rate of 15% off for groups of ten or more will allow Clubs to bring their whole team along to a Swans match

New for Swans Friendly Clubs in 2013:

Swans players allocated as an ambassador to your Club

 When you sign up as a Swans Friendly Club, you will have two Sydney Swans players allocated as ambassadors to your Club. If you are lucky enough to receive a visit from the Swans throughout the year, you will always receive at least one of your ambassadors as one of the Swans players who visit your Club

Access to our special Fundraising Round at the SCG

 In 2013 we are offering Swans Friendly Clubs the opportunity to fundraise at the Sydney Swans home game against St Kilda at the SCG on Sunday 18 August. Clubs will be able to purchase tickets directly from the Swans at a 20% discount and then provide these tickets to their members at the normal face value with your Club keeping the proceeds. On top of that, for every 10 tickets your Club buys, the Swans will throw in one free Adult ticket to sell where your Club will keep the full value of the ticket. Therefore, for every 10 tickets the Club sells (based on selling two family passes, one Adult, one junior and receiving your 11th Adult ticket for free) you will raise $100 for your footy Club.

Swans Friendly Clubs benefits for local Senior Clubs and Regional Clubs

 Local senior footy clubs will now have the opportunity to partake in the program, as they can register their Club to partake in the Swans Friendly Clubs ticketing program and thus have the opportunity to send coaches to our special Swans Friendly Clubs coaches session at the SCG. Regional Clubs can also register for the program and have a Swans player allocated to their Club who will be the face of the communications from the Swans to their Club Swans Friendly Clubs Rewards Program

On top of all those great benefits, all Swans Friendly Clubs will once again have the opportunity to send players to attend the Swans Friendly Clubs SCG visit where they get to run on to the SCG for a training session run by Sydney Swans players after school on Thursday 8 August. To be eligible to send some of your participants to the clinic, Clubs will partake in our Swans Friendly Clubs rewards program.

Rewards for the Swans Friendly Clubs Rewards Program are:

Access to the Swans Friendly Clubs SCG training session

 The top five Clubs as at 5pm, Friday 26 July will have the opportunity to send twenty players to attend the SCG visit, whilst the next ten Clubs will have the opportunity to send ten players to the SCG visit

 For junior Clubs who qualify for the SCG visit and senior Clubs who partake in the Swans Friendly Clubs Ticketing Program, they will be eligible to send two coaches to our special Swans Friendly Clubs coaches session run inside the Sydney Swans football Club. There will be two separate sessions for junior and senior Club coaches each run by members of the Sydney Swans coaching staff on the same evening as the Swans Friendly Clubs SCG visit. It is an opportunity not to be missed!

Be our Junior Mascot for a day

 The Club which performs the best overall in the Swans Friendly Clubs Rewards Program will be offered the opportunity to have one of their players be the Sydney Swans Junior Mascot for our final home game for 2013 when the Swans play the Hawthorn Hawks at ANZ Stadium. The lucky junior mascot will receive a full Sydney Swans kit and run out with the team through the banner and on to the field before the game

Swans Friendly Clubs Rewards Program criteria

There are two criteria for the Swans Friendly Clubs rewards program:

- Percentage of your Club’s participants who are Sydney Swans Members (membership.sydneyswans.com.au) or Red Rookies (redrookie.com.au)

- Number of tickets purchased through the Swans Friendly Clubs Ticketing Program and Swans Friendly Clubs Fundraising Round ticketing

Performance in each criteria will be weighted, with Clubs receiving one point for each percentage of their Club’s members who are registered Swans members or Red Rookies and one point for each ticket sold with the two numbers added up to form your Club’s total. Clubs will receive regular updates as to their progress as well as assistance in how to meet the criteria.

Head to www.sydneyswans.com.au/swans-friendly-clubs today to complete the registration form and become a Swans Friendly Club today. We look forward to sharing a great 2013 season with you.

Kind regards,

Michael Martin
