Millington High School Varsity Football Head Coach

Effective Date: 2018/2019 season

Qualifications: The following criteria will be used to determine the most qualified candidate:

1. Must be able to relate and communicate well to high school students, parents, high school personnel, school and district administration, and the general public.

2. Must have three to five years of coaching experience at the high school level.

3. Previous high school assistant varsity football coaching experience preferred.

4. Must lead, organize, and supervise a total athletic program.

5. Build and strengthen our existing program while heightening and fostering high expectations for future success.

6. Foster a culture of sportsmanship, character, and leadership that will help student-athletes grow and develop on and off the field.

7. Develop a sound long-term strategic plan and vision for the Millington Community Schools’ football program.

8. Demonstrate the capacity and leadership necessary to design clinics, staff meetings, summer camps, and off-season programs that ensure staff awareness and commitment concerning program expectations.

9. Participate in the budgeting process with the Athletic Director.

10. Maintain positive public relations with news media, parents, and officials.

11. Foster a positive working relationship with the school’s and district’s administration.

12. Have a strong commitment to academic achievement.

13. Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina to meet the requirements of the position.

14. Must be able to pass a criminal-records background check. MANDATORY TRAINING:

Bloodborne Pathogens CPR/AED certification Concussion in Sports Training MHSAA rules meeting TEACHING POSITIONS MAY BE AVAILABLE (specific positions determined in spring)

Location: Millington High School

Salary: As per contract
