At Well at Work, we feel that following the Paleo Diet will help you achieve a higher degree of overall wellness. – FALSE We believe there is strong evidence that a moderate, balanced approach that includes minimally processed foods from all food groups, including animal and vegetable sources, and whole grains, best supports long-term health. 2. Your daily intake of foods should include 10 fiber-rich plant foods.- TRUE Plant-based foods are rich in health-preserving vitamins, minerals, phyto-chemicals and fiber. Diets rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains are associated with lower risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer. 3. Anytime you have a fruit you should think to offset that with two vegetable servings.- TRUE Two vegetable servings per each fruit serving helps lower calories while getting all the benefits above (question 2). 4. You can count sweetened tea (with sugar or other caloric sweeteners like honey or agave syrup) for your water intake. – FALSE For water intake, we count non-caloric liquids. 5. You’ll need to fill out the food and exercise log once a month. – FALSE You will get the most helpful feedback, as well as establishing improved health habits, by filling out the food and exercise log weekly.
