JULY CARD MINISTRY WORKDAY is July 24 at 9:00 am. Contact Florine Clarke if you cannot attend. Advent Devotional Have you ever been on a walk, looked up at the trees, and thought how tall they are and how small you are. However, from God’s perspective the trees are small. Likewise, the challenges that we face in everyday life seem huge to us but small to God. To the Israelites, In Exodus 14:21, the perspective of crossing the Red Sea seemed impossible. However, from God’s perspective it was not a problem. In Exodus 14:21, we learn how The Lord made it possible for the Israelites to cross the Red Sea on dry land, impossible for man but possible for God. Everyday God teaches us through his word and demonstrated in the world around us. Consider sharing the lessons that you have learned in the 2012 Advent Devotional. Stories do not have to be just about Christmas but can be about anything that you have learned about God. If you have a story idea and would like some help, please consider attending the Advent Story workshops on July 21 and July 28 at 9:30 in the Prayer Room off the Atrium. For more information, please contact Tanya Shearer at [email protected] , subject line… Advent Book.
