Assemblies: Arrangements for assemblies today are as follows: Friday 9 October: Period 1 – S1 Period 2 – S2 Period 3 – S3 Period 4 – S4 Period 6 - S5/6

Pupils should report to timetabled classes at the start of the period and then be escorted to the hall for the assembly. Coats bags, etc. should be left in classrooms, which should be locked while the class is at the assembly. However, where for any reason it is not possible to lock the classroom, pupils should be instructed to take all belongings with them to the assembly

Lost Pen Drive: Urgent!! Pink pen drive 8GB, Verbatim left in a computer G07 on Tuesday. Please return to Mrs L Bowley if found.

Orchestra Rehearsal – New Term: There will be NO orchestra rehearsal on the first Monday of the new term. Rehearsals will resume as normal on the second week back.

Friday 9 October: Let’s make a BIG PINK difference on the last day of term and show our support for Breast Cancer Care. Please wear something pink with your school uniform – sock, tights, Jewellery etc….. Please bring a donation – suggested £1 – to be collected at Registration. Thank you. (MM)

Curling meeting; All curlers wishing to compete in the RCCC schools curling competition should attend a short meeting on Monday 26th at 3.30pm in the PE classroom.

S2 MIDYIS Catch up: Could the following students please report to B45 on Friday 9 October at 11.00a.m. to complete their MIDYIS assessment? Zumba Charity Event Monday 9 th of November 6.30-7.30pm Elgin Academy Assembly Hall Come and participate in the Zumba charity event on Monday the 9th of November 6.30-7.30pm. It promises to be amazing fun with instruction from Laura Stewart, Y Dancers, and sensational Staff!! All money raised will be donated to the Archie Foundation and CliC Sargent. This promises to be a fantastic, entertaining evening while raising money for two very worthy causes. All you need is comfortable workout clothes, water and energy to dance for an hour! Entry costs £4 Adult, £3 Students, with family group concessions. We hope to see you there! RAF Air Experience Day – 5 th November: If you are interested in joining the armed forces on leaving school then the RAF Air Experience Day is a fantastic way of gaining an insight into life in the forces. You will spend the day in various departments at RAF Lossiemouth including a visit to one of the Typhoon Squadrons and also sporting activities and there will be a focus on the logistics trades within the RAF. If you are interested in attending this please see your Guidance Teacher or Mrs Grant in G21 as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday 27th October please? University of Aberdeen - Engineering Open Day, Wednesday 4 November 2015 at the School of Engineering – Whilst you may have already visited the School of Engineering at the University Open Day in August, this gives prospective students the opportunity to have a one to one chat with a member of academic staff. This may be of great benefit when trying to finalise UCAS choices. Apprentice Parts Advisor (Tyock Industrial Estate, Elgin) – Looking to work towards a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Parts Distribution)? This position is based within a parts department, giving customer advice, ordering required parts, components or accessories and updating computer systems. Basic motor vehicle technology will be a part of the course as well as telephone and sales techniques. Essential subjects are Maths, English and Computing.
