Role & Responsibilities

Councillor for the Seiriol Ward in South East Anglesey, and including the Town of and the villages of , ,, , Llansadwrn and .

I am a member of the Isle of Anglesey Charitable Trust (and attended two meetings).

I also represent the Council on the following: Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Joint Advisory Committee Sustainable Development Fund Committee (AONB) Member of the North Fire & Rescue Authority The Executive Committee of the Fire & Rescue Service

Initiatives & Special Activities

Member of the Fire & Rescue Service Executive Committee, where key decisions are

made.

Establishing a Community Shop in Llanfaes and leading the Group for securing grants.

 Atten ding courses for Chairs and School Governors in the Chamber. Under the leadership of Dr. Gwynne Jones  A workshop on the Welsh Language Charter for Schools in Plas Treysgawen  A course on children’s resources in the Town Hall, .

Other Activities & Issues

It was my pleasure to be of assistance as a Councillor in establishing the Llanfaes Community shop - a remote and deprived village.

I worked hard with my fellow County Councillor, Carwyn Jones to attract grants of approximately £10,000 to establish the shop and fence a piece of land to create a playing area for young children. A grant was also secured to fence and purchase play equipment in Llansadwrn also with Carwyn’s assistance.
