Sprouts – You could live entirely on sprouts. Types of sprouting seeds: alfalfa, chickpea, Chinese bean sprouts, Lentils, beets, mustard and cress. Soak a teaspoon of seeds in water overnight. Next day pour off the water. Rinse the sprouts twice a day. 3rd day they will be sprouted. They do not need sun to sprout but if placed in sun will green up. The water they are rinsed in has vitamins and minerals and can be used as drinking water.

When packing for storing foods use 5 gallon buckets. You can use ¼ cup Diatomaceous earth sprinkle half way full and rest on top of food. Roll bucket around. This kills eggs of insects that hatch out. You can also use oxygen absorber packs or Mylar bag seal your food and freeze your food for 3 days to kill insects and eggs.

It’s important to have at least one month’s supply of prepared ready to eat foods and energy bars for times it is not possible to cook food.

It’s also a good idea to have dehydrated foods on hand for variety, nutrition and flavor. Having spices and additions will reduce food fatigue from eating same foods day after day. Above list are suggestions for affordable survivable foods but can be adjusted for each person’s needs.
