Subject: WORKSHOP ON RESULTS-FRAMEWORK DOCUMENT (RFD), JULY 29- 30, 2011 (SECOND ROUND).

Sir/Madam, I am directed to say that two days workshop on Results Framework Document (RFD) for the Senior Officers of State Governemnt Departments/ Boards/Corporations, who could not attend the workshop earlier on June 23-24, 2011 is being organized on July 29-30, 2011 in collaboration with Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. 2. The workshop will be held at Himachal Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Fairlawn, Shimla-12. List of Departments/ Boards/Corporations and workshop time schedule is attached at Annexure – “A”.

3. Administrative Secretaries, Head of Departments and one Nodal Officer of these Departments/Boards/Corporations are invited in the workshop.

4. Departments, who already attended the workshop on June 23-24, 2011 and want to send another officer in this workshop, may also participate in the workshop. Name of such officers should be sent in advance to the Planning Department. 5. RFD related guidelines and sample RFDs can also be downloaded from the Planning Department website hp_planning.nic.in.

You are, therefore, requested to attend the workshop personally as per time schedule attached.

Day 1 : Friday, July 29, 2011 Time Activity 9.45 AM – 10.15 AM  REGISTRATION 10.15 AM– 10.30 AM  INAUGURATION BY THE CHIEF SECRETARY Mrs. Rajwant Sandhu, Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh 10.30 AM – 11.30 AM  Performance Management of Government Agencies; Overview of International Experience and Lessons for Designing a Results Framework Dr. Prajapati Trivedi, Secretary Performance Management, GOI 11.30 AM – 12.05 PM Results-Framework Management System (RFMS) (Software to facilitate designing and implementation of RFDs) (Tea/Coffee will be served in the meeting itself) 12.05 PM to 12.15 PM Group Formation for preparation of RFD

12.15 PM – 1.15 PM  Group work on Results-Framework Document - Workshop participants will be divided into five groups - Each group will work on creating a Results Framework Document (RFD) for one of the selected Government department/ministry. 1.15 PM – 2.00 PM Working Lunch

2.00 PM – 3.15 PM Review of Results – Framework Documents produced by groups (15 minutes each) (Tea Coffee will be served in breakout rooms during discussion)

3.15 PM – 5.00 PM Presentation by each group before the Chief Guest
