SSCo: Kate Cowley Family: FitzWimarc Family – Edward Francis Junior School, Grove Wood Primary school, Rayleigh Primary School, Wyburns Primary School.

REVIEW OF DEVELOPMENT GOALS FROM LAST TERM

FitzWimarc School – To develop leadership academy and set up leadership mentoring. The leadership students have logged onto the passport website so that they are able to log their volunteering hours in the school and community. The SSCO verifies these hours on a weekly basis. To train Laura Burroughs who is the new SSCo. – Laura Burroughs has been working alongside the existing SSCO in a number of the primary schools. Laura attended a SSCO development day on the 2nd July. Edward Francis Junior School – To develop year 5 pupil’s leadership skills in preparation for a playground leadership project in Edward Francis Infants school next year. – All year 5 pupils have undertaken Young Leaders Award training. All pupils have passed the course with 15 students achieving a distinction. Grove Wood Primary School – To Plan extra curricular provision for the next academic year, and identify coaches. – Coaches have been bid for through the partnerships coaching plan. Sports Unlimited funding has also been requested to run a table tennis extra curricular club. Rayleigh Primary School – To deliver a gym trail programme for low ability pupils and produce end of year reports for pupils documenting their areas of improvement and targets for the future. – Reports have been created for all pupils who have been part of the project. Wyburns Primary School – To develop leadership opportunities for pupils in year 5 and 6. – All pupils in year 5 have undertaken training for the Young Leaders Award. These pupils have subsequently planned and delivered a virtual athletics competition for all pupils in the school.
