What is School Sport Funding?
The government is providing additional for academic years to improve provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. The funding is provided jointly by the Departments of Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools. Schools must use the funding to male additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. This means that schools should use the premium to:
Develop or add to the PE and sport activities that the school already offers
Make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining he school in future years.

We make best use of resources to enhance PE and sport provision in order to raise participation and achievement for all pupils.
