Meeting of April 9, 2009

The April 9, 2009, East Fork Trinity Chapter meeting was held at Minutes of the Meeting of the East the Garland Central Library at 7:00pm. The speaker for the February 12th meeting was Compatriots Harmon Adair, Allen Fork-Trinity Chapter Christian and Mark Hanson who discussed “Results of the Texas Society Sons of the American Revolution, 114th Annual meeting”. TEXAS SOCIETY SONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION Compatriot Bob Warren presented “The Battle of Mammoth, NJ” as the April Americanism Presentation. April 9, 2009 .

The April meeting of the East Fork-Trinity Chapter, SAR, was called to order at 7:02 p.m. at the Garland Central Library, (625 Austin St, 2009 CHAPTER OFFICERS Garland, TX) by Chapter President Allen Christian. President Allen L Christian (972)-689-9797 President Allen Christian opened the meeting with prayer. Chaplain Vice President Harmon Adair (972)-288-6087 James Duty was absent. Secretary Charles Windham (972)-278-5150 Past President Delora Lewis then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Treasurer Charles Windham (972)-278-5150 United States flag, Compatriot Bob Warren led the Pledge to the Texas Flag and Glenn Collier, President of the Mesquite Chapter, led Registrar Harmon Adair (972)-288-6087 the Pledge to the SAR Flag. Chaplain James Duty (972)-495-4089 Chapter Registrar Harmon Adair described the process of several applications.

Upcoming Events Chapter Treasurer Charles Windham reported that the Chapter’s checkbook balance as of April 9, 2009 was $1057.46.

The East Fork-Trinity Chapter March 2009 meeting minutes were approved as posted in the Chapter newsletter ‘four 7. Poster award Presentations at Pullen Elementary of Rockwall, ISD and Walnut Glen Academy of Compatriot Bob Warren presented “The Battle of Mammoth, NJ” as Garland ISD. the April Americanism Presentation. Chapter President Allen Christian discussed:

JROTC Medal Presentation at Berkner High School, The upcoming JROTC Presentations at Berkner High Forney High School and Wylie High Schools. School, Forney High School and Wylie High School. The upcoming Poster Contest presentations at Pullen Elementary of Rockwall ISD and Walnut Glenn Academy .Good Citizenship Medal presentations at Berkner of Garland ISD,. High School, Heath High School, Maurine Cain Middle School and J. W. Williams Middle School. The upcoming Good Citizenship Medal Presentations at Berkner High School, Heath High School, Maurine Cain Middle School and J. W. Williams Middle School,

The membership of the East Fork-Trinity Chapter is invited to attend the April 2009 meeting of the Mesquite Chapter,. The membership is invited to attend the April, 2009 meeting of the Dallas chapter,

And The Rockwall County Library Presentation of made by Harmon Adair and Allen Christian. Harmon Adair had donated the TXSSAR history book set.

District Six, Vice President Mark Hanson discussed the new TXSSAR website.

President Allen Christian then introduced the Speakers of the Day, Mark Hanson, Harmon Adair and Allen Christian who presented “Results of the Texas Society Sons of the American Revolution, 114th Annual meeting”.

Past President Harmon Adair shared about a new flag. The new flag was the ‘Medal of Honor’ Flag.

President Allen Christian Adair led the SAR Closing.

The Benediction was presented by President Allen Christian.

The meeting was adjourned by President Allen Christian at 8:05 P. M
