1:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Opening Remarks from Julie Pemberton, RIMS President

1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. How to Lobby and Issues Briefings—Speakers: Whitney Warrick & Jim McIntyre This session will prepare attendees, especially first timers, for their legislative visits on the following day. RIMS staff and DC counsel will go over lobbying dos and don’ts and go over what to expect during the legislative visits. Staff and counsel will then discuss the policy issues of focus, RIMS position on those issues, FAQs about said issues, and policy goals for the legislative visits.

2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Congressional Staff Panel Presentation and Q&A

3:00 p.m. – 3:30p.m. Break (Refreshments Served)

3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. Medicare Secondary Payer Discussion

4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Peer Networking and Team Breakouts This will be the opportunity for attendees to meet with the groups they will be walking the capitol with on Tuesday. Groups will have this time to further prepare for the following day’s visits and to clarify any further issues or questions they may have. (Congressional meeting schedules and legislative packets will be disseminated)
