For your second database assignment, you are to complete the following case in your Microsoft application text:

The case begins on page ADD1 after the Access Tutorials in your Microsoft application text.

You should read The Relational Databases and Database Design Appendix in your Microsoft application text before beginning this assignment. This appendix is located after the Access Tutorials and Additional Cases and begins with page number AC A1.

Use the names suggested in the text for any objects that you create. If you need to create your own names make sure that the names are “semantically rich.”

In order to save paper you are NOT required to generate any printed output for this assignment. You will be turning in your *.accdb file plus all associated files as a single zip archive.

The class variance on Access skills is probably very high. You can help other students taking MIS 370 this semester with questions and suggestions. Each group must create their own solution. If, while completing the assignment, you corrupt or lose your Access file you are expected to recreate the entire assignment. You are not allowed to copy any part of a database file created by another student or group of students.

Important Points: - Remember to close your Access database before you remove your disk. - Make a backup copy of your work often. Note that Access does not have a “save as” command. You will need to close your database and then use Windows to make a copy of the database file. - Keep your backup copy on a separate media. - If you use a flash drive use the software eject. - Access database files tend to grow in size as you work on them. Before you send me your assignment you can usually significantly reduce the size of your file using the Database Tools -> COMPACT AND REPAIR DATABASE feature.

Terms of the assignment: - This is a group project. - Minimum group size is one (1) member. - Maximum group size is three (3) members. - You will turn in the following: - Your Access database file plus any related files as a zipped archive. - Due via email on the assignment due date. - Your Access file must be named using the standard filename conventions. o prefix-LastFM.extension MIS 370 Spring 2012 db2 Database Assignment 2 Page 2 of 2

o For example if Judy J. Jetson and Joe B.
