The Department of Asian Studies strives to place students in language courses appropriate to their level of ability and pedagogical needs. It is for this reason that students are required to undergo a placement interview before enrolling in Korean language courses. This policy is designed to ensure that students do not enroll in classes that are either above or below their proficiency.

Students are responsible for accurately filling out this form and otherwise providing background information to the instructors about their levels of proficiency in, and prior exposure to, the Korean language. Instructors reserve the right to remove from any Korean language course any student deemed improperly placed in that course.

I have read the above.
