Addendum 1 issued to provide revised specifications per attached.

Addendum #1 must be acknowledged on the Bid Form. All other terms and conditions are to remain the same as previously stated.

Addendum 1, July 24, 2013 1 Barnstable Public Schools West Villages Elementary School Hot Water Circulation Pump Replacement Revision # 1, Addendum 1, 7/24/13

Scope of services:

Provide supply and replacement of eight (8) water circulating pumps and all required motors, piping and labor for upgrades to current system. Pump configurations are as follows :

Condenser Water Pumps:  Replace existing Taco Pumps (2) FM2508 rated for 290 GPM @ 40’  Supply pumps with 5HP/1750/TEFC/230/460 Premium Efficiency Motors  Reuse existing concrete pads.  Replace suction diffusers with 5” x 4” Diffusers  Replace suction and discharge isolation valves with 5” Lug style butterfly valves.  Install 5”Wafer style silent check valves.  Replace Suction and Discharge Braided Flex Connectors  Modify existing suction and discharge piping as required  Wire new motors to existing power leads.  Provide new gauges and thermometers.

Chilled Water Pumps:  Replace existing Taco Pumps (2) FM2508 rated for 270 GPM @ 40’  Reuse existing concrete pads.  Replace suction diffusers with 5” x 4” diffusers.  Replace suction and discharge isolation valves with 5” Lug style butterfly valves.  Install 5” Wafer style silent check valves.  Replace suction and discharge braided flex connectors.  Modify existing suction and discharge piping as required.  Insulate piping as necessary.  Provide new gauges and thermometers.

Addendum 1, July 24, 2013 2 West Villages Pumps (cont.)

Heat Circulation Pumps:  Replace existing Taco Vertical Inline Pumps (3) with the following flow rates, 1-110 GPM @117’, 1-100 GPM @ 82’, and 1-60 GPM @ 115’.  Provide 1-5HP/1750/ TEFC/230/460 Premium Efficiency Motor  Each pump to have 3” x 2” suction diffusers.  New suction and discharge isolation lug style butterfly valves to be installed on each pump.  Each pump to be outfitted with 3” wafer style silent check valves.  Provide and install 3” braided flex connectors on each pump’s suction and discharge.  Electrically connect each primary heat pump to its respective VFD drive.  Install (1) manual disconnect switch to new backup circulator pump, ( to be wired to source by BPS ).  Insulate all piping as necessary.  Provide new gauges and thermometers.

Notes: 1. All work warranted for a period of two years. 2. All work to be substantially complete by October 18, 2013. 3. Prevailing Rates do apply. 4. A minimum of 3 references is required. 5. Certificate of insurance is required. 6. All personnel must submit to a CORI check.
