Please find enclosed a copy of the entry form and information for the above Championships to be held at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 19th June 2013
I would be obliged if you would copy and circulate the entry form to the schools in your area as soon as possible, emphasising the closing date of Wednesday the 9 th May 2013 .
Could you please ask all schools if they could help in the provision of time keepers and other officials from parents or teaching staff.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring what will hopefully be another exciting and enjoyable day of swimming.
Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you are no longer the Area Representative I would be obliged if you could pass this on to the relevant person and also advise me of the changes, so that information is circulated to all regions.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS
MEET INFORMATION
DATE: WEDNESDAY 19TH JUNE 2013
VENUE: ROYAL COMMONWEALTH POOL, EDINBURGH
1.Competition will be held under SASA rules
2.Boys and Girls will swim in separate events
3.Swimmers must compete in the team appropriate to their own school year, except in open events (e.g. S1 pupils may not compete in an S2 team)
4.All relays will be 4x50m. Swimmers may compete in the Freestyle and Medley events for their own school year AND in the Open Events.
Due to the large number of entries, unfortunately, each school may enter ONE team per event.
5. Eligibility of Relay Team Members
a. They must be of amateur status and of 19 years and under as at 31st December in year of competition. b. They must be following a full time course at school or Further Education Establishment affiliated to the Scottish Schools Swimming Association through their Area/Region and on the register of the school at the time of competition.
S6 Swimmers who have taken SEB exams during May/June 2013 may compete.
NB. For Further Education Establishments swimmers MUST NOT be studying at Higher Education Level – that is HND or above.
c. They must not be in receipt of a wage or salary for the course followed.
6. Entry Fee £4.00 for each event entered.
7. Programmes and time cards will be available for collection on the morning of the event.
8.Medals will be awarded to the first three teams in each event.
