RHS Girls’ Soccer Booster Club Meeting Minutes 7/12/2017 7pm

Officers: o Chair-Gretchen Stramel o Treasurer –Sue Miller o President – Brent Eichten o Secretary – Stacey Bangh o Vice President – Mark Enochs  Welcome  Review of meeting minutes  Treasurer’s Report o There were no expenses in June o July expenses include tryout shirts/program shirts o Sponsor contributions starting to come in --$850 so far  Captains’ Comments o Captain’s practice week of August 7th-times are on the website; program t-shirts have been designed and ready to go; senior players are working on other things (warm-up music, etc)  Coaches’ Comments o RAA funfest this weekend-many players have volunteered to help o Based on initial indications approx. 40 Freshman interested in soccer-can create a 2nd Freshman team if needed o Numbers at Crossfit each week have been good (approx. 40 players per session)  Committee Reports Anyone interested in volunteering for any of the open chair positions or to work on any other committee please contact Brent Eichten ([email protected]) o Clothing - Captains & Coaches o Program t-shirts, tryout t-shirts and coach apparel has been picked up; those that ordered clothing first round should get an email this week to pick up their order from Swag Shop o Store will be open again week of tryouts for clothing orders o Communications – Chair: Coach Stramel o Website-Monica Eichten, Stefani Stuckey, Coach Stramel, Brent Eichten  Website is up to date with game schedule, etc o Listserv-Coach Stramel  If you haven’t had a chance---go to the RHS website and add yourself to the Girls Soccer Listserv! o Weekly “Newsletter” –Coach Stramel  Coach Stramel will send out a blast email soon with information about all of the upcoming events o Social Media  Team Twitter: Captains  Facebook: Ed Sieve  Ed will post info about the carwash  Pictures are helpful-if anyone has pictures to post please send to Ed  Game Twitter: Paul Berman (master tweeter)/any parents interested in tweeting during games at any level. Contact Stacey for login/password if interested in tweeting. o Events o Leprechaun Days Parade 7/29  Coach Hayley . We will meet at 10:30 with parade at 11am; girls wear program t-shirts and each bring a bag of candy; more info will come out once we find out our spot o Alumni Game 7/29 4pm  Coach Tomkins . Info will be posted; girls can come-wear program t-shirt . Will bring sponsor sheets in case there are alumni that own businesses or are involved with businesses that would like to sponsor o Pre-Season Picnic (Players only) 8/30 Schwartz Pond Park  Chair: Jenny Newton o Community Night –either 9/7 (7pm game)  Chair: Heidi Swoope . Decided on 9/7 7pm game o Centennial Celebration: 9/23-Varsity game at 11am o Teacher Appreciation 9/26  Chair: Monica Eichten/Kristi Anderson . Decided on 9/26 date o Senior Night 10/7  Chair: Andrea Poehler/Stacia Essler o Fundraising o Car Wash 8/12  Chair: The Sieves . Need mailing list to send out info/tickets—will send out to players 2 weeks before event . Will put sign-up on Sign-Up Genius o Cub Grocery Bagging 8/20  Chair: Rachel Stucke . Will put sign-up for volunteers on Sign-Up Genius o Game Concessions; Chair: NEED CHAIR (get/organize volunteers and help with open/close depending on which shift we are covering; preferably NOT a JV parent as JV games often occur during the time we are covering concessions). If we do not have anyone step up we will need to assign team duties.  We only have 4-6 games we need to cover; may need to have different people open/close or assign to teams o Program Sponsors; Chair: Lori Maidment  $850 so far; goal is $4000; various volunteers are working their way through the list- need this done so Cindy can start putting program together o Wreath Sales; Chair: Jane Tevrucht/Monica Eichten  Need a space to distribute orders out of—3 stall garage  Delivery 11/17 (will need volunteers to help); order pick-up 11/18 o Rudy’s Redeye Night(s). Lori Maidment  Next date 9/11-a certain % of proceeds from the night will be donated to RHS Girls Soccer  Will hand out flyers at car wash o Game Support o Banners for Varsity Games – Captains & Captains Parents o Ball Girls – Chair: Gregg Sirek o Photographers—various parents (ideally at least one from each team) o Videotaping- Team Managers  We are going to use Krossover (1 year contract); $800/season—all of our games will be broken down for easy review and post-season is included o Publicity/Street Signs – Dahls/Eichtens o Programs-Cindy Spindler o Starting to work on layout o Posters o Teams o Team Parent Coordinator- Nichole Fox –thank you Nichole for volunteering! o Travel o Camp St Croix—Varsity 8/22 o Duluth Trip JV/Varsity 8/25 & 8/26; Play at 3pm 8/25 and either noon or 2pm on 8/26  Chair: Kristi Anderson . Will be staying at Hampton Inn on Canal Park  Old Business o Committee Descriptions and Duties-excel spreadsheet o Working on putting up on website o Need to plan for a Secretary successor –work with Stacey this year to transition; Duties: meeting minutes, putting together important dates postcards, help with budget planning, scholarship communication with RHS; if interested please email Stacey ([email protected]).
