The field harvest worker, harvests and gather crops that is ready for harvesting and goes on to pack it and stack it for transport to the market in farms such as broomcorn, peanuts, cotton, sugarcane and that is the working capacity of a crew member. The position entails working in the farm amidst other farm workers and participating in the actual harvesting of crops.

 Field crop harvest duties and responsibilities

A field crop harvester has to do following works and it includes a lot of duties and responsibilities and they are as follows:

 He or she will have to harvest the crops that are ready for the market time to time and on proper time.  He or she has to trim the crops that are overly overgrown and shabby so should take care of that perfectly.  He or she has to ensure for the punning of crops so as to ensure there no competition for nutrients.  He or she has to walks crawls and sit in between rows of crops so will be able to reach crops that are ready for harvest.  He or she will have to see that if the crops are ready for the market and if it then gathers the harvested crop ready for packing to be taken to the market.  He or she will have to collect and carry the bales, bundles, containers or sacks  He or she will have to give the harvested crop to collection points or loading bays perfectly and properly.  It will be the duty to nurture the crops in the garden to ensure that they do not wither on damp soil time to time.  He or she needs to clean the surroundings also so will have to gather the scattered and dry vines, leaves, pods or stems for burning or disposal.

 The candidate should be able to harvest the crops so should have the knowledge of crops and will also be enthusiastic about crops and crops management.  He or she should be environment and nature friendly and should love the nature to do that.  The candidate needs to be a good conservationist.  He or she should have total knowledge about the packaging and storage of crops after harvesting and will be ready for the market.  He or she should have the ability to maintain a strict working schedule as he or she will have to do every work in time.  He or she should have the quality of doing the work in time.  As it is the matter of the crops and the health so it is the duty to be clean and hygienic always.  The candidate should have the ability to work with little or no supervision as when it will be needed.  He or she should have the knowledge of crops and also have the knowledge of handling it.
