Bob Brookover, Philadelphia Inquirer: a league source revealed that offensive tackle Stacy Andrews' new contract with the Eagles is a six-year deal worth $40.98 million…Andrews received a $3 million roster bonus and has a $31,250 per-game bonus this season, which would pay him $500,000 if he appears in all 16 games. The deal also includes a $4.1 million roster bonus in 2010.

His base salaries are $4.1 million in 2009 and 2010, $4.75 million in 2011, $5.574 million in 2012, $7 million in 2013, and $6.75 million in 2014. Frank Reuben, CSN Philly: Bamiro’s deal is worth $1,486,170, which isn’t the unusual part. That’s minimum wage for rookies over the next three years. What is unusual is the amount that’s guaranteed. Bamiro’s minimum-wage base salaries are $405,000 in 2013, $495,000 in 2014 and $585,000 in 2015, but $140,000 of the first year’s salary is guaranteed, and $107,100 of the second year is guaranteed… Bamiro’s signing bonus was actually just $1,170, which means even if he never plays a snap for the Eagles, he’s guaranteed to earn $248,270. With such a tiny signing bonus, only $390 per year pro-rates, so Bamiro’s cap numbers are only slightly above his annual salaries: $405,390 in 2013, $495,390 in 2014 and $585,390 in 2015.

We've also learned some of the specifics regarding the fourth-year salary escalators. There are two levels of escalator. Under the lower level, Bloom's fourth-year salary will match the low RFA tender. The higher level pushes his salary to the first-round RFA tender. Bloom, we're told, can hit the first trigger not only through playing time on offense, but also if he generates 11.1 yards per punt return in any season, 350 total punt return yards in any season, or two punt returns for touchdowns in any season. The second level can be achieved if Bloom makes it to the Pro Bowl.

Marcus Hayes, Philly Daily News: They promoted Koy Detmer to No. 2 and extended his contract through 2002, a three-year deal worth about $3 million total. He was due to earn $472,000 this season, his fourth in the league, after which he would have been an unrestricted free agent.

Dave Ivey, AP: Detmer will receive a $500,000 signing bonus and a 1996 base salary of $500,000. In 1997, Detmer will be paid $700,000, half of which is guaranteed.

Phil Sheridan, Philly Inquirer: The grievance says that Detmer should receive $1.55 million because he played in more than half the Eagles' offensive plays last season. The Eagles contend that Detmer should receive the $700,000 his contract originally called for… The contract called for a base salary of $700,000 for the second year, and included this clause: ``If, during the 1996 regular season, the player plays at least 50 percent of the offensive plays, excluding special teams, or starts seven games other than games in which the starting quarterback was unavailable to play due to injury as determined by the club's medical staff, the player's base salary will be $1.3 million plus [incentives earned in 1996].''… Detmer started 11 games after starter Rodney Peete injured his knee in Week 5. He played in well over half the Eagles' offensive plays. An arbitrator will decide whether his participation in a majority of the plays triggers the raise or whether the loophole regarding Peete's injury wipes out the raise.

Phil Sheridan, Philly Inquirer: The Eagles, frustrated in several trips to the free-agent market, gave up second- and fifth-round picks in next month's NFL draft for Douglas, who is in the final year of a four-year, $4 million contract.

Marcus Hayes, Philly Inquirer: Douglas, acquired in a trade with the Jets last Friday, completed negotiations with the Eagles late yesterday afternoon and signed a six-year deal worth a franchise-record $25.303 million. The new contract, which does away with the final year of Douglas's previous one, will pay Douglas $5 million in roster and signing bonuses and about $7 million total this season. His base salaries for the next four years will be approximately $3 million, $3.25 million, $3.5 million and $4.1 million. The sixth year of the contract, when Douglas is scheduled to make $5 million, is voidable, meaning he could cancel it if he meets certain performance levels: three Pro Bowl appearances or three seasons of at least 10 sacks in the first five seasons… Douglas was scheduled to make a little more than $700,000 in the final season of his four-year rookie contract.

Len Pasquarelli, ESPN: The signing bonus is $150,000 and Douglas will earn a $700,000 base salary. He will get an additional $150,000 if he registers six sacks, another $700,000 more for 10 sacks and $800,000 on top of that for 12 sacks. A trip to the Pro Bowl would earn him $800,000, and there is a $100,000 bonus for leading the Eagles in sacks.

Kevin Mulligan, Daily News: Fryar's agent, Michael George, confirmed yesterday Irving had signed a three-year contract valued at $4.5 million. In lieu of a substantial signing bonus, Irving accepted a deal that guarantees his 1996 salary and half of next year's salary. A small signing bonus is included in the financial package.

Marcus Hayes, Daily News: Fryar's contract is not an $11.8 million deal. It is a deserved, $1.3 million raise over his $1.5 million salary this year, with base salaries of $4 million in 1999 and $5 million in 2000 - if Fryar catches 87 passes or gains 1,317 receiving yards this season. Those numbers are not arbitrary. Fryar caught 88 and 86 passes in 1996 and '97, respectively, and had a career-high 1,316 yards last year, his 14th as a pro. If Fryar doesn't reach his average reception total as an Eagle or exceed his career high in yardage, the Eagles have the option to set him free after the season. The contract becomes null and void. If he catches fewer than 70 passes, the Eagles have the option to retain his services in 1999 for $2 million, $1.5 million of which would be guaranteed, with a possibility of earning $200,000 in bonuses: $100,000 for going to the Pro Bowl, $50,000 for 1,000 receiving yards, $50,000 for 70 catches.

Bob Brookover, Philadelphia Inquirer: It has been reported in several places, including by our fierce blog competitor Eagleterian, that the Eagles signed cornerback Joselio Hanson to a five- year, $21 million deal. That's quite an exaggeration unless you believe he's going to earn $6 million in playing-time incentives during the final four years of his contract… he received a signing bonus of $2.275 million and a roster bonus of $2.725 million for this season and an additional $600,000 roster bonus for next season, giving him $5.6 million in bonus money. His base salaries are $620,000 in 2009, $800,000 in 2010, $1.68 million in 2011, $2.7 million in 2012 and $3.1 million in 2013. Add in $100,000 workout bonuses for each year of the deal and even if he doesn't earn a dime of the incentive money, the deal is still worth $15 million.

Reuben Frank, CSN Philly: Hanson also picked up some spare pocket change, hitting a $200,000 escalator that boosted his 2011 base salary from $1,680,000 to $1,880,000 and increased his salary cap figure from $2.235 million to $2.435 million.

Reuben Frank, CSN Philly: base salaries of $700,000 in 2011 and $825,000 in 2012, a $100,000 SB and a $175,000 RB in 2012.

Reuben Frank, CSN Philly: Hanson had already pocketed a $175,000 roster bonus and was due $825,000 in base salary.

Marcus Hayes, Philly Daily News: the two-year, $1 million deal he signed to replace errant Chris Boniol last season was never meant to run its full course. He was paid $600,000 last year to be a steady presence and a tutor for young, cannon-legged David Akers, which he was.

Reggie Johnson

Tim Panaccio, Philly Inquirer: Reggie Johnson, signed to a three-year, $2.75 million contract in March, left this legacy in Philadelphia: two passes caught and three dropped in preseason, and countless more dropped in practice. The Eagles will eat the former Green Bay Packer's $300,000 signing bonus this season... The three cuts figure to save the Eagles about $1.8 million in salary cap money this season: the $900,000 they would have paid Reggie Johnson in salary, the $190,000 they would have paid Sydner, and the $711,000 they would have paid Renfro.

Kevin Mulligan, Daily News: The free-agent signee from Green Bay was scheduled to earn $500,000 in base salary this season and already had received the $300,000 signing bonus and $100,000 reporting bonus included in his three-year, $2.9 million contract. Just one-third of Johnson's signing bonus - $100,000 - counts against the Eagles' 1995 salary-cap figure. The team will have to account for the remaining $200,000 in their cap total next year.

Adam Caplan, Scout.com: due to the complexities of the "30 percent rule", Kolb's contract was extended for just one season, but the deal includes $12.257 million in guaranteed money... The guaranteed money in the extension, as expected, comes in the form of a $10.7 million signing bonus. The team also gave him the maximum raises allowable within the 30 percent rule for 2010 (from $550,000 to $715,000) and 2011 for his base salaries. The two years of base salaries are also guaranteed.

JI Halsell, FO: The Eagles incurred retroactive rellocation in their renegotiation with quarterback Kevin Kolb, where $2.1 million of his salaries in 2010 and 2011 were guaranteed for skill and injury, resulting in that $2.1 million being allocated to 2009. However, because the Eagles finished the 2009 league year with $4 million in cap space, they could afford the reallocation of this guarantee.

Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: if a CBA is in place and a salary cap returns, Kolb's $5.35 million cap number may be something the Eagles want to move

Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: Kolb signed a one-year, $12.222 million extension last April, which was mostly in the form of a $10.7 million signing bonus. Kolb's base salary this season is just $1.392 million, with $300,000 available in incentives, and has a salary cap number of under $5.4 million.

Mike Florio, PFT: Per a league source, McCoy received a signing bonus of $1.37 million, which represents a 10-percent increase over the signing bonus received by the 53rd overall pick a year ago, Jaguars defensive end Quentin Groves. McCoy also will be eligible for a one-time incentive of $357,000, based on achieving playing time of 35 percent in his rookie year or 45 percent thereafter. (Other team and individual performance triggers apply.) The amount is guaranteed against skill and injury, via base salaries in the out years.

Brian McIntyre, NFL.com: the new extension locked McCoy up through 2017 for $45.615 million over the next six seasons. According to a source knowledge of the specifics of the contract, here's how McCoy's deal breaks down: 2012: McCoy received an $8.5 million signing bonus, which will be prorated against the cap through the 2016 season ($1.7 million per year) and the $615,000 McCoy was scheduled to earn in the final year of his rookie contract has been fully guaranteed (skill, injury and cap). McCoy's cap number has increased from $957,533 to $2,657,533. 2013: $3 million in fully guaranteed base salary, a $100,000 workout bonus and up to $150,000 in per game active roster bonuses ($9,375 per game). If McCoy is active for all 16 games, his cap number in 2013 would be $4.95 million. 2014: $7.65 million in fully guaranteed base salary, a $100,000 workout bonus and up to $250,000 in per game active roster bonuses ($15,625 per game). If McCoy is active for all 16 games, his cap number in 2014 will be $9.7 million. 2015: $9.75 million in base salary, of which $1 million is fully guaranteed, a $250,000 workout bonus and $250,000 in per game active roster bonuses ($15,625 per game). If McCoy is active for all 16 games, his 2015 cap number will be $11.95 million. 2016: $6.9 million in base salary and a $250,000 workout bonus. McCoy's cap number is scheduled to be $8.85 million. 2017: $7.6 million in base salary and a $250,000 workout bonus. Michael Smith, ESPN: the two-year deal is worth $24.5 million with another $1 million that can be reached in incentives.

Mike Florio, PFT: A league source tells us that quarterback Donovan McNabb, by virtue of last week’s adjustment to the final two years of his contract, will account for more than $20 million in cap space this year. Specifically, his cap number is $20,273,950.

Last week’s transaction jacked up his 2009 cap number by $9.9 million, through three devices: (1) a new $3.3 million roster bonus paid in 2009; (2) a $3.5 million base salary guarantee for 2010 (which hits the cap now because there currently will be no salary cap in 2010); and (3) half of a $6.2 million fully-guaranteed roster bonus to be paid in 2010 (under the rules, the other half still counts against 2010 accounting, even if there’s no cap next year).

As part of the deal, McNabb actually reduced his $10 million base salary in 2010 to $5 million, shifting money to other types of payment that will help chew up 2009 cap space.

Andrew Brandt, NFP: Here are some particulars from McNabb’s contract adjustment (it was not an extension) in June of last year: McNabb’s 2009 salary of $9.2M was guaranteed, and $3.5M of his 2010 salary of $5M was guaranteed. $500,000 ($31,250 per game) of 45-man active roster bonuses were added for both 2009 and 2010. $1M ($500,000 per season) of potential Super Bowl incentives were added. A $2.8M roster bonus in 2009 was added. A $6.2M roster bonus in 2010 was added.

Paul Domowitch: His 6-year deal is worth slightly more than $60 million, including $24.4 million in guaranteed money over the first 2 years of the contract. He’ll get $21.5 million this year, including an $11 million signing bonus, and a guaranteed base salary of $10.5 million. His 2010 base salary of $2.9 million also is guaranteed. He also can collect an additional $1 million in 2010 in workout and other incentives. The rest of his deal:

2011: $5.9 million in unguaranteed base salary, plus $350,000 in workout/other incentives. 2012: $7.9 million in unguaranteed base salary, plus same $350,000 workout/other incentives. 2013: $10.4 million in unguaranteed base salary, plus same $350,000 workout/other incentives. 2014: $9.65 million in unguaranteed base salary, plus same $350,000 workout/other incentives.

The final 2 years of this deal are more for show than anything else, since he’s not likely to see them. By that point, depending on his performance level, the Eagles either will release him or try to restructure his deal. Peters will be 31 years old in 2013. So, basically, it’s a 4-year/$39.9 deal if he collects all of his ``fat clause’’ (workout) incentives.

Sal Paolantonio/Tim Graham: In total, Peters will make $60 million over the next six seasons. For Peters, the Bills will receive a first-round pick (28th selection overall), a fourth-rounder in next weekend's draft and a sixth-round pick in 2010, according to a source.

Joe Fortenbaugh: Peters and the Eagles have agreed to a six-year deal that, with incentives, could be worth up to $60 million. Peters is scheduled to make $24 million in guaranteed money.

Bob Brookover, Philly Inquirer: In the middle of the 2000 season, he signed a five-year contract extension worth $14.5 million. That deal included a $2.1 million signing bonus… With three years left on Thomas' former deal, the Eagles asked him to renegotiate his contract. He signed a four-year extension worth $3.19 million, including a $500,000 bonus.

Adam Schefter, ESPN: Vick has a $1.5 million roster bonus on 5th day of 2010 league year and $1 mil of his $3.75m base salary also becomes guaranteed that day.

Mike Florio, PFT: Per a league source, Vick will count more than $4.6 million against the cap this year. Of the excess, $750,000 of it comes from the $1.5 million roster bonus that Vick is due to receive on the fifth day of the 2010 league year, given the unique accounting rules of the last capped year under the labor agreement. The other $2.26 million comes from a "likely to be earned incentive," which undoubtedly won't be earned.

In the past, this device has been used to carry cap space from one year to the next. In this case, the incentive was utilized to ensure that the second year of the deal complies with the 30 percent rule, which limits salary growth from a capped year to an uncapped year. Vick also was given a $50,000 salary advance, suggesting that he currently has very limited liquid assets.

Mike Florio, PFT: We explained earlier today that Vick’s six-year $100 million contract with $40 million guaranteed is actually a five-year, $80 million contract with $35.5 million guaranteed… Vick’s $20 million compensation for 2011 comes from a $7 million signing bonus, a $10 million guaranteed base salary, and a $3 million roster bonus. His cap number is $14.4 million, which created $1.8 million in additional cap room for the team. In 2012, Vick earns a guaranteed base salary of $12.5 million. His cap number is $13.9 million. In 2013, Vick’s base salary is $16.5 million, but it has a $1 million de-escalator, which would drop the salary to $15.5 million. (The specific event that would drop his salary isn’t known.) Only $3 million of the amount is guaranteed, for injury only. The cap number is $16.9 million. For 2014, Vick’s base salary of $12.5 million can escalate to $15 million. He also has a $3 million roster bonus, and a cap number of $19.4 million. For 2015, Vick has a base salary of $14.5 million, with a roster bonus of $2 million. The cap number is $17.9 million.

Andrew Brandt, NFP: 13: $16.5 million Of this, $3 million is guaranteed for injury only. However, once the calendar hits the second day of waivers in 2013 – in mid-February – the guarantee converts to a full skill guarantee for that year. Vick allowed this for funding purposes, as any amounts guaranteed for skill prior to January 31 have to be funded by the team. Vick can add to the total guarantee of $35.5 million by another $3 million should he win a Super Bowl in 2011 or 2012, making it a potential $38.5 million guaranteed. Three-year amount: $49 million This amount de-escalates (reduces) by $500,000 for each year that Vick does not win the Super Bowl, applicable to the 2013 salary, bringing the number down potentially to $48 million, or an even $16 million APY over the first three years… 2016: $20 million This year voids (disappears) with minimum playtime (35%) in any year, making the contract an actual five-year $81 million deal.

Mike Florio, PFT: Vick received a signing bonus of $3.5 million. He also will receive a non- guaranteed of $3.5 million. That’s a base rate of $7 million. The rest comes from incentives. He can earn a $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses; he gets $31,250 for each game he’s on the 53- man roster. Vick gets another $1.5 million if he participates in 90 percent of the offensive snaps, and $1 million if the Eagles win the Super Bowl (and if he plays in it)… The play-time incentive has lower levels, with $$1.2 available if he participates in 80 percent of the snaps, $900,000 if Vick participates in 70 percent of the snaps, $700,000 for 60 percent of the snaps, and $500,000 for 50 percent. The amounts aren’t cumulative; he gets one payment based on his total playing time. Also, the Super Bowl bonus has lower levels, with smaller payments based on postseason season. The maximum available is $1 million, if the Eagles win the Super Bowl.

Mike Florio, PFT: it’s actually a three-year deal. But the final two years void early in the 2013 league year… The maneuver also kicks two thirds of Vick’s $3.5 million signing bonus into 2014. Speaking of Vick’s signing bonus, he gets half of it now and the rest of it in April. Joel Corry, NFP: Vick's $500k incentive at 50% playtime is considered likely to be earned & counts on Philly's cap since he had 59.18% '12 playtime.

Mike Florio, PFT: once the final two years of the contract go away, $2.333 million from the new signing bonus will hit the 2013 cap, along with $2.8 million in lingering bonus allocation from his prior deal. Thus, while the cap hit for now is only $7.066 million, it soon will jump by $5.133 million to $12.2 million… The convoluted three-year-down-to-one-year device was needed because the Eagles already had carried over all remaining 2012 cap space. Thus, they had no way to absorb the bonus acceleration before the start of the new league year on March 12.

Bob Brookover, Philadelphia Inquirer: there is $13 million in new money. The source said that $13 million in the first two seasons is guaranteed and that Westbrook will make $21 million over the next three seasons. The source said that there are escalators based on playoff appearances and individual performance that could increase Westbrook's salary to $24 million.

Mandak: The deal also includes three additional years through 2013 at $10 million per season, but those are strictly for structural reasons.

Eagles president Joe Banner said the contract is the most complex he has ever seen. "It's a complicated deal," Banner said. "There is extension years, potential voided years and escalators. Everything I've ever seen in a contract is in this deal." Bryce Johnston: As part of his new extension in 2008, he received a 6.5M signing bonus in 2008 prorated over 6 years. Based on his contract, I anticipate the Eagles will "supersede" (the exact wording of the contract) his 2009 base salary to become 5.85M (instead of 4M). Doing so will likely cause the base salaries from 2011-2013 to escalate to 10M each year. In the simplest scenario, the Eagles will also "supersede" the 2010 base salary to 8M. In this scenario, there would also be a 1.5M escalator or de-escalator, as well as a possible 1.5M roster bonus, all of which depend on his performance in 2008 and 2009. This matches up exactly with the reports of 13M guaranteed over the first 2 years, 21M over the first 3 years, and the possibility of 24M over the first 3 years.

In more complicated scenarios, there is a 7M option bonus that could escalate or de-escalate or a 5.25M "non-exercise fee" that could escalate or de-escalate. We will cross that bridge if we come to it.

Marcus Hayes, Philly Daily News: either the team would re-sign him outright or it would tender him at $512,000 and then match any other team's offer sheet… the Eagles re-signed Whiting yesterday to a six-year deal that gives him $2 million up front and at least $9 million overall, with escalators that could make it worth more than $11 million.

AP: The Eagles sent a fifth-round draft pick to Baltimore and defensive end Brandon Whiting to San Francisco. The Ravens got back the second-round pick they sent to the 49ers for Owens.

Aaron Wilson, Baltimore Sun: Williams' three-year $17 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles includes a $5 million signing bonus. Williams' deal has a maximum value of $19 million, which he can be paid if he triggers $2 million in escalator clauses and incentives. The contract includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money. The first-year base salary of $750,000 is fully guaranteed. The second-year base salary of $4.75 million is guaranteed for injury protection only should Williams be unable to play if he gets hurt. However, that entire figure becomes fully guaranteed if Williams remains on the roster by the fifth day of the 2014 league year. So, it operates akin to a roster bonus. Williams' first-year compensation is $5.75 million.

Marcus Hayes, Daily News: The Eagles and Pat Dye Jr., Willis's agent, agreed to terms Sunday on a three-year contract extension worth a total of $3.25 million. That includes $750,000, split between a $450,000 signing bonus and a $300,000 salary increase over Willis's $450,000 1997 base salary.

Marcus Hayes, Daily News: Willis was rewarded for his intelligence and diligence in the middle of the 1997 season with a three-year extension... That contract, which included a $450,000 signing bonus, paid him about $600,000 in salary last season. It was scheduled to pay him about $1.9 million over the next two seasons.

Tim Panaccio, Philly Inquirer: Zordich, who made $475,000 last season, was happy to agree to a three-year contract that will be worth $2.6 million if he plays the third year and $2.2 million if he doesn't.

Kevin Mulligan, Philly Daily News: The Eagles signed the nine-year veteran to a frontloaded, three-year, $2.6 million deal that should allow Zordich to finish his career in Philadelphia. The contract includes a prorated $300,000 signing bonus, $100,000 roster/ workout bonuses in each of the next two years, and a $750,000 base salary in 1996… His base salary drops to $650,000 next year and $400,000, with the potential for $400,000 in playing time incentives, in 1998. There are no incentives in the first two years, Solano said.
