Witness Statement of a 911 Call

911 Operator- 911 What’s your emergency?

Martha Monroe- I just blew my husband’s brains out.

911 Operator- WOAH! Ma’am why did you do that?

Martha Monroe- It was the only way to stop his abuse. I’m not proud of it but I had to end it.

911 Operator- Ma’am I need to know how this happened.

Martha Monroe- I walked into my bedroom and shot him in his sleep.

911 Operator- So you killed him in his sleep? I thought he was beating you.

Martha Monroe- Well it hasn’t happened yet tonight, but it’s gone on for far too long and I was fearful for my life. It was either me or him and I had to be the one to decide.

911 Operator- And you are sure that he is dead?

Martha Monroe- Yes considering his brains are splattered all over my bed.

911 Operator- What is the address ma’am?

Martha Monroe- 1799 Lamont Street N,W

911 Operator- The authorities are on the way.
