D & H Meats Issues Voluntary Recall

D & H MEATS ISSUES VOLUNTARY RECALL

VANLUE, OHIO (August 7, 2014)– D&H Meats, of 400 South Blanchard Street, Vanlue, Ohio is issuing a voluntary recall for ham products due to a processing deviation and being misbranded.

The products subject to recall include:

 Any Smoked Ham Whole, Smoked Ham Boneless, Smoked Ham Shank Portion, and Smoked Ham Rump Portion.

The ham products recalled were produced from July 29, 2012 - July 29, 2014 and bear the establishment number EST. 102 inside the Ohio mark of inspection. The products were sold through the plant’s store in Vanlue.

The problem was discovered by inspectors during routine verification activity. It was noted that the plant was not properly monitoring the cooling of its ham products.

There have been no reports of illness due to the consumption of these products. If a person is concerned about illness, please contact your local health care professional.
