2005 CHARLES CIMICKY TRUMPS SHIRAZ $18.95 REGION: BAROSSA VALLEY, SOUTH AUSTRALIA Charles Cimicky is a small boutique winery in the Barossa Valley has been making outstanding wines for at least 15 years (I discovered them in the late 80's, early 90's) but are relatively unknown in Australia as the majority of their wine is exported to the United States. "Charles Cimicky wines are of very good quality, thanks to the lavish (but sophisticated) use of new French oak in tandem with high-quality grapes." James Halliday The Trumps shiraz is Charles Cimicky's second-tier shiraz to the more luscious Signature Shiraz.
