D & H Meats Issues Voluntary Recall

<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE</p><p>D & H MEATS ISSUES VOLUNTARY RECALL</p><p>VANLUE, OHIO (August 7, 2014)– D&H Meats, of 400 South Blanchard Street, Vanlue, Ohio is issuing a voluntary recall for ham products due to a processing deviation and being misbranded.</p><p>The products subject to recall include:</p><p> Any Smoked Ham Whole, Smoked Ham Boneless, Smoked Ham Shank Portion, and Smoked Ham Rump Portion.</p><p>The ham products recalled were produced from July 29, 2012 - July 29, 2014 and bear the establishment number EST. 102 inside the Ohio mark of inspection. The products were sold through the plant’s store in Vanlue. </p><p>The problem was discovered by inspectors during routine verification activity. It was noted that the plant was not properly monitoring the cooling of its ham products. </p><p>There have been no reports of illness due to the consumption of these products.
