TRAVEL BROCHURE LESSON (Grade 6)

1. S’s will create a travel brochure using MS Publisher

2. Choose a travel destination

3. Research facts on destination (Google, Google Images, etc.)

a. Name and location (city, state, country) – front panel

b. Add “Created by” and your name (front panel)

c. Picture(s) – clip art or from Google images – front panel and throughout brochure

d. History of destination – inner panel

e. Popular attractions – inner panels

f. Average temperature in September (inner panel)

g. Cite sources (back panel) – copy URL and paste onto your document

4. Save document

a. Go to File (upper left corner)

b. Click “Save As”

c. Scroll down to sastudent$ drive and click on this

d. Double click on your homeroom file folder (ex. 6A or 6B)

e. Click in “File Name” line and type your first name, last name, and travel brochure (ex. denisesalvatoretravelbrochure)

f. Click “Save”

g. Once you save your document like this the first time, you can save it anytime afterwards by just clicking on the blue diskette in the upper left corner. You do not need to do “Save As” procedure.
