New A.M. Parent Drop-Off Procedure: Due to a safety issue, the A.M. parent drop-off will be changed to the front of Creative Playschool. Please use the entrance that is closest to the pond. This is a one-way loop. You will see cones and staff next to the building as you drive through. There will be NO PARKING unless it is a marked parking space. The parent drop-off line is long so please be prepared to wait a little bit. If at all possible, it is suggested that you put your student on the bus. Thank you for your support.
The Integrated Preschool is looking for 2 individuals to work each day from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you are interested, please contact the Haynes Main Office, 739-2922.

Gobbling Down Halloween Goodies- Tips for parents/guardians Offer a filling meal before your kids head out to trick-or-treat so they won't scarf down too much of their haul. Know how much candy your kids have collected and store it somewhere other than their bedrooms. Having it so handy can be an irresistible temptation for many kids. Consider being somewhat lenient about candy eating on Halloween, within reason, and talk about how the rest of the candy will be handled. Kids who generally eat just a couple of pieces and save the rest might be trusted to decide how much to eat. But if your child tends to overdo it, consider setting limits. Once your trick-or-treaters have returned with their Halloween goodies, extend their bounty by letting them have a treat or two a day instead of leaving candy out in big bags or bowls for kids to sample at will. We hope your little ghosts and goblins have a hauntingly happy and safe Halloween! KidsHealth.org

The school store sells popcorn, school supplies, and novelties including holiday- themed items priced from 25 cents to $1.50 and is run by parents of fourth graders. We have many new items arriving and had a great opening day on October 24th. Thank you for your support! (This fourth grade fundraiser runs one to two Friday mornings a month and supports the fourth graders' Star Auction that is an incentive program rewarding kindness, respect and responsibility. The money made may also be used to offset the expenses for the fourth grade trip to Hartford and the fourth grade's lass Gift to LBH at the end of the year. This is not a PTA sponsored fundraiser.)
