Final Details Wednesday 6th June 2012 TempO
TempO is the TrailO equivalent of sprint. All the controls are timed. Each control station will have 3 problems and a single time to answer all three is recorded. Time penalties are given for wrong answers and for any problems not answered within the time limit at the station.

Travel Directions From the Kingsway A90, turn on to the A923 towards Couper Angus. Camperdown Park is a few hundred metres along the A923 and will be signposted. Parking will be at the Wildlife Centre car park. Please take care on the approach to the car park and park as directed.

All public events competitors must register. You will be given a control card. Maps will be given at the start

Course details: 2.5 km, 35m climb. 8 control stations with 3 problems at each. Time allowance of 90 sec per station. Time penalty for wrong answer: 30 sec.
Facilities There is a café with toilets next to the assembly.
Final Details Thursday 7th June 2012 TrailO model Event
This is a non-competitive event to allow competitors to see the style of map and types of problems they will find in the main competition. No results will be calculated.

Travel Directions From St Michaels, go north towards Tayport on the B945. After 2km turn right onto narrow road, follow for 3km; turn left towards forest, 3km to assembly. Access/Parking Payment A fee of £2.00 is required to access Tentsmuir Forest payable at a coin operated barrier in the forest.

Course details: Course length 1.0 km, 10m climb. 10 controls with 2 timed controls at the end of the course. Time allowance 63 minutes. Time penalty for wrong answer at timed control: 60 sec. Penalty for exceeding the time limit 1 point per 5 minutes of part thereof.
Facilities A picnic area and toilets are near the assembly area.
Note Sheep ticks are present in Tentsmuir, but probably not on the tracks.
Final Details Friday 8th June 2012 Day 1
Day 1 of the public TrailO competition. This is the same course as the Model event from the previous day but the problems are different and more difficult.

Final Details Saturday 9th June 2012 Day 2 Day 2 of the public TrailO competition. Today you will be doing the WTOC course – international elite standard.

Timed Controls Before main start
Course details: the course is in two parts separated by a non-timed section of 0.8km. Total course length 1.9 km, 20m climb. 23 controls with 2 timed controls at the start of the course. Time allowance 135 minutes (150 minutes for wheelchairs). Time penalty for wrong answer at timed control: 60 sec. Penalty for exceeding the time limit 1 point per 5 minutes of part thereof.
Facilities A picnic area and toilets are near the assembly area. Scotjos will be running a refreshment stall to raise funds for the summer tour to Norway.
Prizegiving. The prizegiving will take place following the WTOC medal ceremony (4pm). Prizes have generously been donated by CompassSport and will be awarded to the first 3 in TempO, Day1, Day2 and Day 1+2 combined. Prizes will also be awarded to novice TrailO competitors.
