Lorain Co. Young Life - Landscaping Products Sale

Why are we doing a Landscaping Products Sale? This is an opportunity for you to raise funds to help you get to camp.

How much goes toward the trip? $1.50 of every bag sold and $10.00 of every Amerimulch yard sold go toward summer camp. (The numbers are similar for other yard products ranging from $3 per yard to $10 per yard in money towards camp – see back for detail list.)

How do I take an order? Have the customers fill out the bottom half of the form (front), tear it off and give it to you along with their check. They keep the top half of the registration form AND should fill out the receipt on the backside for their records. If they are picking up products in the store personally they’ll need that receipt plus a photo I.D. You fill out the back of the bottom half of the form that they give you. Be sure to check the order for accuracy and completion! (How delivered etc.)

Do I take their check? Yes. They date the check April 27th, 2015 and make it out to Young Life.

What if they aren’t comfortable giving me their check? They can mail it in to the Young Life office directly. In this case you should write your name on the back of the order form so we know that you made the sale. The Young Life address is on the order form.

What are the selling points?  They’re helping local kids (like you!) go on an amazing summer camp trip.  They are getting Kurtz Bros., Inc. products at prices IDENTICAL to what they would pay if they were to buy from Kurtz directly.  They get a tax-deduction for the portion of their purchase that goes toward camp AND they pay NO SALES TAX when they buy through us.  If they order 20 or more bags by April 24th they get free delivery on May 3rd ** They must live in Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield, or Sheffield Lake - we don’t do free bag delivery to any other community!

When do I turn in the checks and orders? No later than April 24th and sooner if possible for bag orders of 20 or over. Bring them to Young Life meeting or give them directly to a leader. All other orders can be placed up until May 18th.

What if they ask about Young Life? Just tell them what you do in Young Life and what it’s all about. Here are a few facts:  It’s non-denominational,  non-profit,  It’s been around since 1941,  It’s in all 50 states and 50 countries around the world  And every year 1 million kids are involved in Young Life

Anything else? Yes, remember you’re representing Young Life, please be polite no matter what.

IMPORTANT DEADLINE DATES --- SEE BACK! DEADLINES TO REMEMBER:

FRIDAY, APRIL 24 TH – All BAG mulch orders (20 bags or more) need to be turned into the Young Life office (or given to your leader) so we can plan for their May 2nd delivery. (Remember we only deliver bags to Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield, Sheffield Lake!!

MONDAY, MAY 18 TH – Young Life Mulch Sale ends for all other mulch and landscaping products. Please turn in your orders to the Young Life office (27070 Detroit Rd. LL#1 Westlake, OH 44145) or to your leader by this date!

Be sure to double check all of your orders for accuracy and completion!! Any cost or payment errors will be taken out of your profit!

2015 Kurtz Product Descriptions:

Amerimulch - Made from assorted woods and dyed with vegetable based dye, double ground, lasts longer than Hardwood blend. Triple Shred - Same as Amerimulch but ground 3 times. Hardwood Blend – Made from hardwood and compost, only available in its natural color. Eco Mulch – Made from double ground wood chips, only available in its natural color. Topsoil – All-purpose soil. Pro Blend Soil – All-purpose soil blended with compost. Playground Mulch – ASTM approved wood fiber mulch
