When the going gets tough, the tough…take care of themselves

What is self care?? Self care is any intentional action you take to care for your physical, mental and emotional health. Self care can take a minute (deep breaths) or maybe even a few days (vacation!). Find something that works for you! Here are some ways you can use self-care throughout the semester

 Get outside-take a walk or enjoy the scenery on campus  Eat a meal with friends  Go to bed a little earlier one night  Listen to your favorite podcast/music album  Watch a favorite movie or tv show  Laugh at your favorite youtube clip  Exercise  Ask a friend for a hug  Have some quiet time  Read a book for pleasure  Say No to a request  Hang out with a friend  Eat a comfort food  Pay it forward-do a random act of kindness for another  Dance!  Look at images of cute things-puppies, baby sloths, kittens, etc  Eat a healthy meal or just a few more fruits and veggies  Drink a cup of tea  Turn off your cell phone/computer for an hour  Declutter a notebook-or maybe your whole room!  Journal  Take 10 deep breaths
