It is very important for people to know and understand the events that are happening across the globe that impact people's health. Thus, you are required to do current event activities for this class. This is a daily grade homework assignment designed to have you read an article from a newspaper, magazine, or any place that the news is reported (msnbc, fox, cnn, etc) and to analyze that article. The internet or the newspaper will be used to search for your article. You are to include the following things in your summary. You must write in paragraph form.

1. Topic of article, name, date, and class period on the top of current event, - 10 points

a. What is the topic of your article?

2. Article title - 10 points

a. What is the title of your article? Exact Wording

3. Article Source – 20 and copy of your article

a. Where did you find the article? Include the URL.

4. Summary – 25 points

a. Briefly, and in your own words, summarize the content of the article.

b. Five sentences (5) you must address the who, what, when, where, how, and why

5. Reaction and vocabulary – 25 points

a. Highlight all the vocabulary that you don’t know, and write a definition for them.

b. How do you feel about this issue/event?

c. How does this issue/event affect you?

d. Five (5) sentence minimum

6. Discussion-10 pts. Discuss your article with an adult or older sibling and summarize their reactions and comments in 2-3 sentences

Make sure to include the LINK (URL) to your article. If you do not include the link and/or a copy of your article, you will lose points. Remember, to do your best, and neatness counts.
