As we celebrate Christmas and bring 2012 to a close, I feel that I’m very privileged and it is my honour to work with you as your Parish Priest here in Listowel. I would

like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for the support that you give to M A S S E S your Parish and to me personally throughout the year. It takes a lot of people to Deceased Members of the Corridan, Fitzgerald & make a Parish active and to keep it going in these difficult and challenging times. It Moriarty Families / Bridie Sayers, Greenville / could not happen only that we are blessed with good staff, Denise (Parish Deceased Members of the Coppinger & Hickey Families / Secretary) and Billy (Sacristan) and his family and a lot of volunteers who are Michael & Pauline Kennedy, Limerick / dedicated to our Parish. Many of you work behind the scenes and you might feel John, Ned & Paddy Faley, Ennismore / your work sometimes goes unnoticed but each person in their own right plays their Joan, Hannah & Dan Walsh, Craughatoosane / Vigil 7pm part and each does it so well. Christma James & Etta Stack, Tralee & s Eve John & Agnes Regan & Deceased Family, Dromin / I thank the Parish Finance Council who keeps an eye on the Parish Finances. I Kathleen & Michael Browne & Anne O Flaherty nee thank the Parish Pastoral Council and the Safeguarding Children Committee for Browne, Waterford / Michael McDonnell & Deceased their support and guidance. Thanks to the Parish Liturgy Group who co-ordinate Family, London & Clare the various ministries and liturgies. The Eucharistic Ministers, the lectors / Christmas Night Mass of the Nativity - readers, the collectors, the counters who count the offerings weekend after 10.00pm weekend, those who help to distribute the envelopes, the Parish Choir, the Parish People of the Parish Folk Group, the members, directors and musicians. We are blessed to have Agnes Buckley, Denis O’Sullivan & 9.00am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament weekly in our Parish. Thank you all who Christmas Kathleen Daly, William St. make it possible. We have the Padre Pio Prayer Group who run their monthly Day People of the Parish 11.00am meeting - and I’m not forgetting my Altar Servers, their parents and teachers for Tony Brennan, Forge Rd, Greenville, Months 12.30pm their support. You all do a great job and your help is much appreciated. Mind /Charlie Chute, Greenville To those who clean the church - not alone is this done for Christmas, but it is done quietly all year around. Those who donate flowers and look after both inside and Christmas Offering Envelopes: Many thanks for your generous Christmas outside the church and Presbytery grounds throughout the year. So many visitors Offerings already received. Should you not have an envelope, there may be remark on how well each place looks. This is a tribute to you, so take a bow. To some at the back of the church or use any envelope.
