Invitation to the press

Object: Stereopsia Press Conference, the World Immersion Forum for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality, 3D Cinema and 3D Sound (first edition in Brussels this coming December)

Image&3D Europe and Hollywood-based VR Society have the pleasure to invite you to a press conference on Thursday 9 November, 11:00am in Brussels (Salle des Guichets of the BIP, rue Royale 2-4) to celebrate the 9th edition of Stereopsia – the World Immersion Forum – to be held in Brussels on 11-13 December.

Technologies and immersive contents now encompass Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality, as well as 3D Cinema and 3D Sound.

The presidents of the two associations above-mentioned, i.e. the President of the University of Liège, Mr Albert Corhay (Liège) and Mr Jim Chabin (Hollywood), will gather for this occasion, the World Forum’s organizers, Mr Wim Buyens (VP of Barco, a major sponsor of the event), representatives from the immersive technologies sector (Nozon) and Brussels authorities in charge of digital development in the heart of Europe (Juan Bossicard, Manager of the screen.brussels Cluster and in charge of the digital strategy of Brussels Region, NextTech.brussels).

They will be honored to share the following information with you:

 Overview of global and European developments concerning immersive technologies and their impacts for the economy.  Strengths and goals for Brussels in the field.

They will also talk about the different components of Stereopsia, and you will be the firsts to see the list of nominated 3D films and 3DVR contents for the EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East & Africa) in the race to win one of the prestigious Lumiere Awards that will be handed out in BOZAR on 13 December for the VR Society, present at the conference in Brussels on 9 November.

Talks will be in English, but the following Q/As will be conducted in either French, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin or English.
