Prairie View Duplicate Bridge Club

♦ PRAIRIE VIEW DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB

All aboard the Fun Ship Carnival!! Yes, that was the call for all ABA bridge players in December 2005. The PVDBC hosted its first annual bridge cruise and what a wonderful way it was to end the year for all who participated. There were six B games during the four day cruise, a day trip to Calica, Mexico, shows each night on board and of course for our daring ones, there was the casino. We will not even mention all the food to be had 24 hours a day and the experiences a few of us indulged in at the spa. Mark your calendar for December 7 – 11, 2006 as plans are in the works for us to do it again. First and second place winners in the various games held on the cruise are listed below: Game Date Flight Flight Flight Names A B C

8 ♠ HARBORLillie Satterwhite BRIDGE CLUB

The Harbor Bridge Club closed out the year with a party. It was an evening filled with lots of delicious food, exchanging gifts and playing bridge. We continue to have classes each Tuesday of the month. There are four members in the Basic Bridge Class and eleven in the Intermediate Bridge Class. Wednesdays and Thursdays we play bridge with an average of four and a half or five tables. Our plan for the new year is to host a party for our avid bid whist playing friends. It is our hope that this will inspire some of them to play bridge. ♣ UNIVERSITY DBC
