Recommended List of suitable plants for lakefront planting at Taunton Lake
In response to residents questions about what types of plants are appropriate to plant along the lakefront, the OTCC has prepared the following list of recommended plants. All of the plants have some form of aesthetic characteristic, including: flower, berry or fruit, or fall color.

E= Evergreen D= Will tolorate drier conditions than other plants listed
Note: 1. All plants are native to the Pinelands 2. Hybrids or Cultivars of each type of plant should be avoided. For example “Red Sunset” or “October Glory” are cultivars of red maple. They should be avoided and the “unimproved” version of the plant should be used; just use straight Red Maple. 3. Some plants may not be available at neighborhood garden centers, however they are available at many larger plant nurseries. 4.
