1. Tell us about your experience addressing quantitative reasoning in courses at Cal Poly Pomona.
2. List the courses that you will teach in the winter 2015 and spring 2015 quarters that intentionally address quantitative reasoning. Discuss an outcome for the course that relates to quantitative reasoning.
3. Describe student work products generated by the courses and explain why they are appropriate for assessment with a rubric.
4. Tell us what strengths or resources you will be able to bring to the learning community as a member.
5. Indicate if and why you would like to serve as the work group leader.

COMMITMENT STATEMENT
If I am selected as a member of the QUANTITATIVE REASONING FACULTY WORKGROUP, I agree to participate fully in the program’s activities:
Teach a class in the Spring 2015 quarter that intentionally address quantitative reasoning. Meet once during the winter quarter and twice in the spring quarter, including at least one extended session for the purpose of evaluating student work. Provide a final group report covering findings on the development and use of rubric, and recommendations for larger scale implementation and sustained use of the tools. Provide an individual reflective statement. Share findings at appropriate campus venues such as the University General Education Assessment Committee meeting, a department or college meeting, the Faculty Center for Professional Development, and the Provost’s Symposia. Share findings at appropriate off-campus venues including the Annual Western Assessment Conference, the WASC Annual Resource Conference, and the AAC&U G.E. Conference.
If I am selected to be the leader of the QUANTITATIVE REASONING FACULTY WORKGROUP, I agree to:
Schedule the meetings for the workgroup. Facilitate the assignment and collection of assignments. Lead the writing of the final group report. Collect the individual reflective statements. Report periodically to the GE Assessment Committee on the progress of the work group.
