WESTCHASE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, INC. VOTING MEMBERS MEETING January 8, 2013 MINUTES - draft

I. CALL TO ORDER WCA President, Joaquin Arrillaga, called the Voting Members Meeting to order at 7:00 PM. A quorum of the Voting Members was present. There were 2,906 members of the Association represented by the presence of the Voting Members. The Voting Members Meeting Notice was electronically transmitted to the Voting Members on Friday, January 4, 2013. The notice was also posted on the WCA marquees.

IV. Minutes Approval of Meeting Minutes for November 13, 2012

Bryan Bobrovetski made the motion to approve the November 13, 2012 meeting minutes. Carlos Quiros seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

V. New Business

 Presentation of Villas of Woodbridge Mailbox Guideline Amendment - Initial Approval

VM Meeting Minutes January 8, 2013 p. 1 of 2 Villas of Woodbridge voting member presented an amendment to the current mailbox guideline, which requires unit owners mailboxes to be double mailboxes on a single white post. The units owners voted in favor of changing the requirement to be double black aluminum boxes on a single black aluminum post, to be purchased at Beautiful Mailbox Company. The Board of Directors for Woodbridge also voted in favor of the amendment. The new guideline will require “two front mounted black aluminum mailboxes on a single straight black aluminum post; gold address numbers on the side of the mailbox (supplied by Beautiful Mailbox Co.) with red flag”.

Carlos Quiros made the motion to give initial approval for the Woodbridge mailbox guideline amendment which would require unit owners to replace their existing white mailboxes with black aluminum mailboxes on black post. Lisa Jones seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0 Cynde Mercer requested specifics on the mailbox guideline (in lieu of photo submitted) to be presented at the Feb 2013 VM meeting for better clarification.

 Presentation of Revised Westchase Color Palette - Initial Approval Nancy Sells presented the members with a revised color palette and proposed changes to Guideline 2.1.12 for the Westchase Master Association.

Ruben Collazo made the motion to make item#1 read: Color palette has been revised – all painting/repainting of homes must be submitted for approval to the MC. Eric Holt seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0 (Due to change to item#1, all items following will be renumbered accordingly)

David Love made the motion to remove item#4 due to redundancy. Carlos Quiros seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

Cynde Mercer made the motion to move all of the lightest colors, which were initially moved from the body/trim strip to trim only colors, back onto the body/trim strip. Maria Witonski seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

Kathy Carlsen made the motion that trim colors for the five (5) white approved house colors on the color palette must be within the top three (3) colors only on any body/trim color strip on the palette. Shaney Nadel seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

Alan Shabott made the motion that the corresponding trim color must be within three (3) shade colors, up or down, on the same color strip as the body –or- be one of the trim only colors. Cynde Mercer seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 22-4 (Brentford, Glencliff, Harbor Links, Villas of WPV)

Eric Holt made the motion to initially approve the proposed color palette. Mary Griffin seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 25-1 (Village Green)
