PMC Cohort Admissions Process

Here are the PMC admissions requirements:

1. To be considered for acceptance into the PMC program a candidate must hold a current Illinois Type 75 or Principal endorsement.

A. Complete a UIS Graduate Application for Admission form (online) * you will begin by creating an account by clicking on “first time user account creation” under the Login button.

B. Arrange to have copies of official transcripts from each institution where undergraduate, graduate & non-degree credit was earned sent directly to the Office of Admissions and Records.

Program Application Requirements and Process:

3. Acceptance into the PMC Supt./Chief School Business Official program is competitive. To be considered for acceptance into the program applicants must:

 Have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a scale in which A equals 4.0)  Submit a completed EDL PMC Supt. Or Chief School Business Official Application Form directly to the EDL program office (see EDL website link)  Submit a completed EDL Program Personal Data Form (EDL website link)  Submit a current resume to the EDL Program  Submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test results and written portion of the exam, offered at any local Sylvan Learning Center (*save until you are conditionally accepted).  Submit to the EDL Program a sample of your academic or professional writing  Arrange to have three educational and/or professional references be completed and sent directly to the EDL Program (reference form available on the EDL website link)

Course Schedule: 2 fall semesters, 2 spring, and 2 summers. During the school year, the courses run 5 weekends per course, which includes Friday night and all day Saturday for 5 times. Summers are run with two courses (for 2 weekends in June and three weeks in July M- TH. This schedule had worked well with most vacations taken in July.
