Native American Report and Poster Project

Native American Report and Poster Project

Dear Parents, We have begun our study of Native Americans of the Eastern Woodlands in our class. In an effort to enhance our classroom study, your child will complete their first research project for 4th Grade. Your children will choose to research either the Iroquois OR the Algonquian Native American tribes. The format of this report is explained in this packet and will also be explained in detail in class. If your child needs construction paper, white lined paper or any other materials, please have them see me. Since this report requires research, your guidance would be greatly appreciated. Your child will be presenting their poster and reading their report to the class so it is vital that they understand what they have written. Therefore, please have your child write this report in their own words and do not let them copy from an encyclopedia or book. This report may be hand written (cursive or print) on white lined paper or typed. If it is typed, be sure your child typed it and please attach a note to the report confirming this. An adult may assist in the editing, spacing, etc., but your child needs to type it themselves. This report and poster is due on or before Nov. 21, 2017. Please complete the bottom portion of this letter and return to school tomorrow. ------I understand that I have a report and poster due on the Iroquois OR Algonquian Native American tribe on or before Nov. 21, 2017.
