Trinity United Methodist Church 706 14th Avenue South North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM Purpose The purpose of the Tuition Assistance Program of Trinity United Methodist Church is to provide monetary assistance to members of the church for furthering their skills to increase the capability to make a living. Students receiving this assistance may attend any of the following: 1. University or College (Church or Non-Church Related) 2. Community College 3. Technical School 4. Adult Education Classes 5. Special Skills Classes a. Drafting b. Welding c. Secretarial d. Computer e. GED study Available Monies/Disbursements Available monies are disbursed annually among the successful applicants. Criteria include the following: 1. Membership at Trinity 2. Involvement in church activities 3. Regular church attendance A maximum award of $500 is awarded to each successful applicant. Funds are distributed on a weighted basis. Tuition Assistance Guidelines Recipients of tuition assistance funds are selected annually by a committee of the following Trinity United Methodist Church officials: 1. Minister 2. Chairperson of Administrative Council or Lay Leader 3. Higher Education Chairperson 4. Youth Leader The Tuition Assistance Committee reports the names of recipient(s) annually to the Administrative Council. Approved monies are paid directly to the institution. Applications 1. Applications for Tuition Assistance should be submitted to the following address: Trinity United Methodist Church Tuition Assistance Program 706 14th Avenue South North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 2. Deadline for submittals is April 30th for the following school year. Applications are available by accessing the church’s website (www.trinitynmb.com) or contacting the church office. 3. Recipients must re-apply for each school year. 4. Upon receiving notice of Tuition Assistance Award, recipients are responsible for furnishing the church with the address of the institution that will receive the stipend.

It is our hope and prayer that Trinity will be able to support you in your journey, both financially through this tuition assistance program, and with prayer.
