1. MODULE SUMMARY Lean Implementation Black Belt
Aims and Summary This module deals with introduction to concepts of Lean at a Black Belt Mentor level applicants will be required to gain an understanding of the current Lean methodologies and the sustainability in developing a long term lean enterprise structure The focus of this module will be on the in-depth knowledge of Lean tools & techniques through industrial experience, practical application and benefits gained by the implementation of Lean

On successful completion of this module the applicants should be able to:

3. Understand the application of Transition Planning
4. Understand application of Value Stream Mapping
5. The concepts of Hoshin Kanri

Methods of Lean Application within the work area

Teaching and learning methods
Informative workshops and briefings, will be followed by workplace supported examples and mentor/tutorial type sessions. In addition, there will be practical exercises to underline and develop the theory.
Special Features
This course is intended for managers, supervisors, and team leaders who are employed in the manufacturing or service sector.
This course supports applicants who are involved in a work based learning scenario. The module will therefore, be delivered in the applicants workplace as they carry out their work with minimal time off the job.
Teaching and Learning will be supported by reference to case studies and critical incidents drawn from work at each applicant workplace.
