Important upgrade announcement for Jadvantage users

Jadvantage Upgrade – Starting July 15, 2008 through July 22, 2008 Access to the AS/400 will be known as BOSaNOVA Web Client - formerly Jadvantage.
Note: You may begin using BOSaNOVA Web CLIENT as early as Tuesday July, 15, 2008. We suggest if you have more than one PC at your location setup for Jadvantage that you implement BOSaNOVA Web Client on one PC to make sure your can access the AS/400 before you upgrade any additional PC.
To access the AS/400 after July 23, 2008 you must have upgraded software on your PC. The following instructions explain how to upgrade your PC
If you are using Microsoft Vista Operating System you must turn UAC off. To turn UAC off. Click START, Click CONTROL PANEL, Click User Accounts, Click Turn User Account on / off. Uncheck the box beside Use User Account Control (UAC) to help Protect your computer.
Go to www.ssapparel.com. Select Employee Page Click on BOSaNOVA Web Client Upgrade Instructions and print a copy. This will allow you to print the instructions.
Next Click on External BOSaNOVA Web CLIENT – formerly Jadvantage and install the upgrades using the instruction that you printed from the Web site.
Upgrade will soon be available under www.greenwoodmills.com.
Printing Reports: BOSaNOVA Web Client supports several printers. To print AS/400 reports your printer should have PCL6. We have found the Brother 5250DN is an excellent low cost laser printer that sells for around $250.00. Any IBM laser printer with PCL6 will work. HP printers with PCL6 also seem to perform well.
UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
Upon entry to the new web site you will see BOS (Better On-Line Solutions). Click on Downloads tab and Java Plug-ins will appear. Click on SUN & Microsystems Java Plug-in 1.5.0-04 for Microsoft Windows and Netscape. Click Run When the download is complete you will be prompted to run J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 4. Click run In a few minutes you will be asked to accept the License Agreement. You must accept the License agreement. Click on “I accept the terms in the license agreement” Click Next Select Typical and Click Next Click Finish You may be asked to restart you PC. If not prompted to restart you should restart anyway.
When your PC restarts you will need to return to www.ssapparel.com. Select Employee Page, select External BOSaNOVA Web Client or access by the IP address http://216.119.238.199:8080.
Upon entry to the new web site you will see BOS (Better On-Line Solutions). Click on Downloads and Java Plug-ins will appear. Click Microsoft JVM 5.0 Click Run When the download is complete you will be prompted to run Microsoft ® VM. Click Run. You will be asked if you would like to install the Microsoft VM. Click Yes. You will be asked to accept the License agreement. You must accept the agreement you answering YES. The software will install and you should get a message saying “the installation is complete”. Click OK. You may be asked to restart you PC. If not prompted to restart you should restart anyway
NOTE: A very important change will be in the printer session. You will no longer see a printer session. You must make sure before you log in the BOSaNOVA Web Client that your default printer is the printer you wish to print to.
When your PC restarts you will need to return to www.ssapparel.com. Select Employee Page, select External BOSaNOVA Web Client or access by the IP address http://216.119.238.199:8080
Upon entry to the new web site you will see BOS (Better On-Line Solutions).
Click on the BOSaNOVA Web Client block in the middle of the screen.
The first time you use this screen it will take a few seconds for Java to load some software to your PC.
You will see one of the following:
“ The application’s digital signature has been verified. Do you want to run the application” put a check mark in the box (always trust content from this publisher). Click Run.
Once Java completes you will see a window “Do you want to trust the signed applet distributed by “B.O.S. – Better On-Line Solutions Ltd”? Click Always
This is a good place to Click on Favorites and save. You may also want to send the Favorite to your desktop. Next enter your Username and Password. (This is the same username and password you used for Jadvantage).
Click Log-in or press Enter key
The next process will say Download BOSaNOVA Web Serve. You will see a message BOSaNOVA Web spooler installing pleas wait.
Once the spooler is complete you will see BOSaNOVA Web in the middle of the screen.
Click Options button located at the bottom of the BOSaNOVA Web display. Click Start all
Your AS/400 Sign On screen should appear.
Enter your AS/400 user and password as usual.
When you are ready to leave the AS/400, from your main screen you should key 90 on the command line and enter. This will sign you off the AS/400.
Click the red X in the top right corner of your screen and you will be returned to the BOS screen.
You should now be back on the BOSaNOVA Web screen.
Click Logout button located at the bottom of the BOSaNOVA Web display.
You will be prompted with the message “All sessions will be closed.
Do you want to continue?
Click Yes. You will be left on the site BOSaNOVA Web.
