EPISCOPAL ORDINATIONS
As you already know, Canon Paul McAleenan and Mgr. John Wilson are to be ordained as auxiliary bishops for our diocese at Noon on Monday 25th January, at Westminster Cathedral, on the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. All parishioners are very welcome to attend the ordinations in the unreserved seating area (no ticket required). It would be lovely to see a full Cathedral. Doors will be open from 11.00 a.m. ______
We’re on Facebook – or at least we soon will be. As you all know we are committed to raising money to pay for the new Parish Centre. As another way to communicate with all parishioners in this social media age a Facebook group called “Sacred Heart of Jesus & Saint Joseph R.C. Church Fundraising Group” has been created. This Facebook group will aim to promote and communicate with parishioners about all the fundraising events over the next few years to pay for the new Parish Centre which is being built. The group will be a place to see what’s going on, how much has been raised and bring the online community of the Parish together. Everything on Facebook is currently being communicated at Church and in the weekly newsletter. This does not change. All we are doing is launching another channel to reach our community. ______
FR. JOHN’S SPONSORED SLIM After week 2, I am still on track but it is getting more difficult. I am looking at recipes from Slimming World and tried slow cooked pulled pork this week, very tasty. Thank you for all your support. Fr. John ______
